When buying a car for the first time, what should you pay attention to when picking up the car? The vehicle inspection checklist will tell you.
After passing many hurdles, I finally bought my favorite car. In the last step of picking up the car, I need to pay attention to some things, including the car inspection checklist.
1. Check the production date. The reservation date is within one month, and the current car is within 3 months. Look at the nameplate next to the passenger seat. Tire production date: It is generally composed of 4 digits, namely "week number and year" as shown in Figure P3. For example, "3121" means "31st week of 2021" converted into months, which is "August 2021". Glass production date: It consists of "dot numbers" or "digit dots", as shown in Figure P4. The number represents the year, such as 7, which is 17 (07/27 is the closest year according to the specific car production). Use "7" before the dot. -Number of dots", use "13-Number of dots" after clicking on the number. Safety belt production date: on the upper side of the safety belt. The production date of the car tires/glass/seat belts will be before the production date of the complete vehicle. If they are not consistent, the components may have been replaced. Record the frame number: You can take a photo of the vehicle nameplate as shown in Figure P1. The first line is the frame number, which corresponds to the "lower right corner of the front windshield" and the "certificate". This is equivalent to the vehicle's ID card. Avoid recording. After inspecting the car, I picked it up again and it was replaced.
2. Appearance inspection: The vehicle may be scratched when it is transported to the store, so it needs to be inspected, focusing on the "bumper/four corners/rearview mirrors/headlights". Check whether the door opening and closing/sunroof trial are normal/whether there are any abnormal noises. Interior inspection for damage/scratches.
3. Check whether it is new or old: avoid test driving. Start and look at the mileage on the dashboard. It usually shows within 5 kilometers. Feel the inner wall of the exhaust barrel with your hands to see if it is clean. If there is carbon deposits, it means oil is burning. Pull out the oil dipstick from the front cover and check whether the color is translucent.
4. Function check: lights/wipers/reversing camera/car system "Use CarPlay for Apple" "Use Carlife for Android" Remember to bring a data cable. Tools in the trunk: spare tire/tripod/jack/fire extinguisher. 2 keys. Put all the gifts into the big trunk.
5. Whether the materials are complete:
Invoice/Three Guarantees Manual/Environmental Protection List/Instructional Maintenance Manual/Motor Vehicle Registration Certificate (in the case of loan purchase, the certificate will be detained at the bank for confirmation If you pay off the loan, you can ask 4S to help you get it back. Be sure to agree with the salesperson in advance to avoid additional handling fees).
6. Finally, be sure to confirm the effective date of the insurance, and wait until the "compulsory traffic insurance takes effect" before driving on the road to avoid problems on the way home!
