For loan students who graduated in 2022 or before, the national student loan interest due in 2022 will be exempted. This policy refers to the national student loan discount policy, and the central and local governments bear the exempted interest respectively. During the period when students are in school, the national student loan has no interest and is subsidized by the Ministry of Finance. Interest will not begin to accrue until after graduation. For borrowers who graduated in 2023 or before, the interest generated by repaying the national student loan in 2023 will also be exempted. This measure is reducing the economic pressure of graduates and promoting education equity and talent training.
