Su Dongpo's feeling after reading.
Su Shi lived a thousand years ago, and his good reputation is still praised by people through the ages, which can be described as a household name. The following is 10 Su Dongpo's essay on reading. Welcome to reading.

Thoughts on the Biography of Su Dongpo 1 The Biography of Su Dongpo is the work of a famous scholar, Mr. Lin Yutang. Based on literature, the book tells the story of Dongpo's wandering and legendary life.

Speaking of Dongpo, I think everyone will be familiar with it. Most of them are well-meaning and considerate smiles, and you can casually say, "When there is a bright moon, ask for wine from heaven" or "Dajiangdong has gone to the waves to find out all the time, and he is a romantic figure through the ages". Dongpo's works all reveal his true and sincere nature, humorous, sincere and sincere words, completely from the heart.

The poems of Li Bai and Du Fu, poets of the Tang Dynasty, have been spread to this day and are widely known. Li Bai is natural and unrestrained, wandering between heaven and earth, doing whatever he wants, not being fettered by trivial matters; Du Fu was worried about his country and people, his heart was tied to the world, his officialdom was ups and downs, and he was unhappy all his life. Du Li's two completely different attitudes towards life are either too bold and easy, too sad and depressed, and too simplistic to choose only one. Dongpo, on the other hand, just combined the two into one. His life is full of sadness, joy, beauty and pain, and it is a truly happy life.

Su Shi is knowledgeable and versatile, and has high attainments in literature, calligraphy and painting. As one of the "Eight Masters of Tang and Song Dynasties", he and Xin Qiji are also called "Su Xin", and they are also uninhibited. His poems are fresh and vigorous, and he is good at using exaggerated metaphors. He and Huang Tingjian are also called "Su Huang". Su Shi is also good at books and is one of the "Song Sijia"; He is good at painting, especially ink bamboo, and advocates the concept of "unity of poetry and painting, exquisiteness and freshness".

Although Su Shi's talent is world-famous, he has been involved in the political whirlpool all his life and his career has gone through hardships. Wutai poetry case has been repeatedly relegated. But he has been indifferent to this, and it is really "a lifetime of misty rain."

Years are like flowing sand, and youth is fleeting. Dongpo, like a bright pearl, always radiates light and heat, attracting us to explore his profound literary treasures.

Su Dongpo's thoughts after reading: 2. He melted his feelings into colorful flowers and flowed at the end of his pen;

He condensed into a melody floating at the end of his pen with his open mind;

He suppressed his pain into a chapter of surging consciousness;

As a man, Su Shi is a cup of tea, and he will accompany me all my life. The fragrance that can't be concealed in the bitterness overflowed the emerald green pot, and it was all over the place. It is the wish of "I hope that people will travel thousands of miles for a long time * * *", and it is also the grief of "I expect to be heartbroken every year, and the moonlight night is short." This bitter yearning was placed on a cup of tea and a bright moon. A touch of acacia, a touch of sadness without words, depression is all.

Su Shi is a crystal clear river, and he will accompany me all my life. I can't hide my inner loneliness, and I can't talk about the desolation of "it's too cold at the top". It is the loneliness of "picking up all the cold branches and refusing to live, and the lonely sandbar is cold". On the occasion of the Baijia Temple Fair, the old friend is absent, which stems from inner loneliness. Burying is everything.

Su Shi wandered in a dream woven by words and indulged in the ivory tower piled up with poems. "Floating between heaven and earth" and "wandering outside" are the condensation points of all his thoughts, and they are the milestone cards and life maxims that will accompany me all my life.

Looking back on Su Shi, I was speechless. Because I am with him with my heart. After reading and appreciating Su Shi, I finally understand that all the pain is just passing through, and there is no rain or shine.

Su Shi is like tea, accompanying me all my life makes me dull;

Su Shi is like water, staying with me all my life makes me quiet.

Su Shi: Eternity in my heart!

Reflections on Su Dongpo's life and reading 3 Su Shi, a native of Meishan, Sichuan, was a famous politician and writer in the Northern Song Dynasty. He not only has profound attainments in poetry, calligraphy and painting, but also has unique opinions in medicine, archaeology, water conservancy and many other aspects.

I admire his great names, especially his beautiful poems. For example: "Water Tune" When will there be a bright moon? Ask Qingtian wine. I don't know about palaces in the sky. What year is tonight? I'm willing to ride the wind to the sky, I'm afraid I can't stand the cold for nine days in a pavilion of fine jade. Dance to find the shadow, what is it like! The moon turned into a scarlet pavilion, hanging low on the carved window, shining on the sleepy self. The moon should not have any resentment against people. Why is it round when people are gone? People are sad and happy, and they are separated and reunited. The moon will darken or shine, and it will become round or round. Nothing is perfect, even in the past. I hope people will live for a long time and have a good scenery thousands of miles away. There is also: drinking clear water on the lake, the water is bright and sunny, and the mountains are empty and rainy. To compare the West Lake to the West Lake, light makeup is always appropriate … and so on, which makes me full of praise.

There is also a well-known story here: one day after dinner, Su Shi paced with his stomach in his hand and asked, "What's hidden in my stomach?" The waiters all said that they were full of articles and learned a lot. Only his clever and beautiful concubine said to the cloud, "A bachelor's stomach is not suitable." Su Shi burst into laughter and repeatedly said yes.

People call Su Shi a genius once in 300 years. Although he has been away from us for thousands of years, his good name is still praised by people. I think this is inseparable from his inner joy and the joy of his thoughts. This is the root of his immortality, and it is also what our descendants deserve to appreciate.

After reading Su Dongpo's biography, I borrowed a thick biography of Su Dongpo by Lin Yutang during the seven-day National Day holiday this year. Originally, I wanted to read it hastily, but I didn't want to be deeply shocked by Su Shi's ill-fated life. I would like to extend my infinite respect to this greatest poet in China history.

I admire Su Shi because he has unparalleled talent. Speaking of Su Shi, we can't help but mention his unprecedented poetic talent. His poems are passionate and heroic, including "One river never returns, the waves are exhausted, and the romantic figures of the ages", fresh and elegant, "The West Lake is better than the West Lake, and it is always appropriate to wear light clothes and thick clothes", and there is philosophical thinking that "people have joys and sorrows, and the moon is full of rain and shine" ... Its realm is unprecedented in ancient and modern times, and everything in heaven and earth laughs and curses, all from the pen. Through Dongpo, I touched the wandering costumes of China literati and listened to the soothing pulse of China culture.

I admire Su Shi because of his optimistic and open-minded personality. "Success is poetry, failure is poetry" is more suitable for Dongpo. "Wutai Poetry Case" makes people sigh: Genius is often admired. If Su Shi is not too talented and sharp-edged, his comrades-in-arms who are friends with him will not turn to crowd him out, and he will not leave his hometown several times. Fortunately, Dongpo is a hopeless optimist. He is not unhappy, but happy-go-lucky, and his creative talent is also richer. In Mizhou, he wrote the best Mid-Autumn Festival poem "Shuidiao Tou", and its touching words and beautiful artistic conception have been enduring for a long time.

I admire Su Shi because he has lofty spirit. Su Shi and others immediately raised objections when there were various drawbacks in Wang Anshi's political reform. Su Shi wrote Zongshen, a million-word book with his best weapon-pen, which contains his own political philosophy, and also expresses his personal temperament and style, his wit and fearless spirit, which are obvious. Subsequently, Su Shi was demoted to Hangzhou because of his failure to oppose political reform, so he stayed away from the noise and returned to pure emptiness. He is used to indifference, and his talent is more elegant and free and easy; He knows how to deal with difficulties so as not to be humiliated. Su Shi's earth-shattering words of "a little noble spirit, a thousand miles fast" tell the world that a person can be extraordinary, upright, calm and comfortable under any circumstances, and enjoy the glory of thousands of miles that makes people feel infinitely happy!

As Lin Yutang said: Su Shi is dead, and his name is just a memory. But what he left us was inner joy and ideological joy, which is immortal. Su Shi's lofty spirit will last forever like his poems!

Thoughts on Su Dongpo's Biography 5 Recently, I read Lin Yutang's Biography of Su Dongpo and felt deeply. Although Su Shi's articles are famous all over the world, his career has gone through hardships and he has been persecuted repeatedly, but he has never changed his nature of enjoying himself. His life was a combination of Confucianism, Buddhism and Taoism, and poetry, prose, ci, calligraphy and painting stood at the peak in the Song Dynasty, where talented people came forth in large numbers. His enterprising, upright, compassionate and broad-minded personality spirit has been shining for thousands of years.

Compared with Li Bai, he cares more about the country and the people. He has been working hard for the suffering of the people all his life. Although he was a grass-roots person when he was demoted to Huangzhou, he still cared about the people. In order to change the custom of abandoning baby girls in Huangzhou and save innocent lives, he used his savings to build the world's first orphanage, so that those newborn baby girls enjoyed the right to life. When he became the governor of Hangzhou, he not only rectified the West Lake and stabilized food prices, but also founded the first public hospital in the world to solve the problem that farmers had no money to buy medicine because of the high drug price when the plague was prevalent in Hangzhou. Even when he was in exile in Hainan in his later years, he still did not forget the people. He taught local people to read and write, cultivate land, drill wells and collect herbs, and made great contributions to the development of Hainan.

Compared with Du Fu, he is more humorous and broad-minded. He likes the days when Tao Yuanming abandoned his official position and retired. When he was demoted to a farmer, he once wrote: I am now planting rice on Dongpo, and I also get pleasure from hard work. He is satisfied just because his efforts have paid off and he can support himself. This is his philosophical thought. He also likes to cook for himself. Eating is a great pleasure in life, much like me. I can never understand why some people think that eating is a task. There are still many dishes cooked by Su Shi that have been handed down. The most famous is Dongpo meat. I ate Dongpo pork once in Louwailou, Hangzhou, and it really deserved its reputation. I just don't know if the current chef has improved.

Personally, I always think that people who can eat always know how to enjoy life better, just like a stone. No matter how degraded by the court, he can't be degraded, because no matter where he is or what position, he can always find what he should do and find the joy of life. People are like geese, and things are like spring dreams. Time is always fleeting, and all experiences are only once. Because of this, his love for life is so profound and firm.

Reading the whole book left me with the deepest feeling that "the world is the only paradise". Life is gone. We should try our best to make it more colorful, substantial and valuable while it is still alive!

After reading Su Dongpo's biography, I can't remember what someone said and what the exact words were. Spreading China culture is like Lin Yutang, who is one of the few China writers who can write in English. I have only read some articles by Lin Yutang before, and this is the first time to read the whole book. I chose his biography of Su Dongpo. After reading his love for Su Shi in the preface, I can be absolutely sure that this is a first-class book, after all, all the enthusiasm of the author is in it.

Speaking of great talents, Tang, the first thing that comes to mind is mostly Li Bai; In the Song Dynasty, Su Shi came to mind first. From the folk stories, we can see some differences between Li Bai and Su Shi. Li Bai, or catching the moon in the water, or flying on a whale, or talking about the land, or Lux took off his boots and held an inkstone, all of which were full of fairy charm and romance.

In people's minds, Li Bai can't learn. His great talent and immortal spirit cannot be copied. In five thousand years, there was only one Li Bai. On the other hand, Su Shi built a riverbank called Su Causeway, invented a cooking method called Dongpo pork, and had a fictional sister, Su Xiaomei, who often teased Fo Yin. But if Li Bai lives in heaven, then Su Shi lives on earth. He is more real and amiable.

Li Bai's immortal spirit cannot be copied, nor can Dongpo's verve be copied. He entered the WTO in the spirit of Confucianism, was born in the spirit of Taoism, and was detached from Buddhism. He perfectly explained the trend of the integration of Confucianism, Buddhism and Taoism in the Song Dynasty, and was the most wonderful one in the Northern Song Dynasty.

What I admire most about Dongpo is his openness. He doesn't regard birth as the last choice that can't realize his life ambition like Tao Qian, nor does he pick it up and put it down and pick it up like Xin Qiji. In Su Shi's eyes, there are no bad people in the world, and everything is beautiful. Neither exile nor imprisonment seems to be an arrow to knock him down. When I was exiled to Huangzhou, I had no money to buy other meat, so I bought the cheapest pork in the local area, concentrated on studying how to make it delicious, and sent it to a wild place like Lingnan. Because there were lychees to eat, I just laughed it off.

After reading some deeds of Lin Yutang, I can't help feeling that they have a lot in common. I think Lin Yutang wrote a biography for Su Shi, probably because Su Shi is the realm he hopes to achieve, and he encourages future generations.

Su Dongpo's thoughts on reading 7 Su Shi in Lin Yutang's works can be described as a strange man who came out in a thousand years. He once commented on this literary giant: "Li Bai, a meteor in the literary world, burned himself out after a spectacular and amazing flash, just like Shelley and Byron." On the other hand, Du Fuxiang Milton. He is both a devout philosopher and a kind elder. He is knowledgeable and rich in writing, and writes rich feelings with simple pen and ink. Su Shi is always full of youthful vitality. " "Although Su Shi has suffered a lot, his humanity has become more gentle and kind, and he has not become bitter."

Throughout Su Shi's life, behind his brilliance, he is the only one who has suffered from several promotions. He was an official all his life, honest and clean, and fought with the great writer and politician Wang Anshi all his life. As for whether Wang Anshi's political reform is right or wrong, for the time being, it may really take some courage to fight against the current minions and ministers and the narrow-minded villains who are good at cutting off dissidents with a broad mind. For example, Su Shi's brother Su may be less than one tenth or even one percent of Su Shi's talent. However, his life is safe and sound, his official position is soaring, and he can finally enjoy his old age. In the final analysis, it lies in Su Shi's attitude of daring to put forward and criticize crimes and mistakes. Perhaps wealth, honor and disgrace are just his own selfish desires in his view, which is a very humble thing. His life and goals are oriented to the people, and his eyes are more concerned with the happiness or pain of the people. As long as he thinks that reform is divorced from reality and conflicts with saving the people from fire and water, he will oppose it to the end, and even in the state capital under his jurisdiction, he will ignore these so-called measures to strengthen the country.

Although there are many difficulties in Su Shi's life, from his poems, articles and life experiences, we can find that his attitude towards life is optimistic and positive. Even when his feet are deep, he can still hum a tune, invite three or five close friends and enjoy the beauty of life. He writes poems for * *, he chats with monks, he prays for rain for the people, and he travels around. Su Shi's excellent poems can not only write such a magnificent article as "Red Wall Fu", but also write such a far-reaching poem as "the grass in the sea is flourishing".

Take Lin Yutang as the conclusion: "Su Shi is dead, and his name is just a memory. But what he left us is the joy of his heart and the joy of his thoughts, which is immortal. " In my own words, Su Shi is gone, and his lofty righteousness will last forever.

Su Dongpo's thoughts after reading 8. He let there never be a gap between language and writing: he melted emotion into a colored pen; He dazzled life with words. He condensed it into a melody floating at the end of the pen with an open mind. He brought the song style back to ancient times ...-Inscription.

When Su Shi is mentioned, an amiable and respectable little old man will emerge in people's minds, as if he were an elder around him. Su Shi's poems are unrestrained and uninhibited, with a misty rain all his life, a philosophical view of lush grass in the sea, a philosophy of "I don't know the true face of Lushan Mountain, but I am only in this mountain", and a timeless swan song of "When there is a bright moon, ask heaven for wine".

His accomplishments in literature, as well as his calligraphy and painting, were unparalleled at that time. Such a genius, with a bumpy career and poverty, still enjoys himself. Shi, with his magnanimous mind, enjoys life to the fullest and is not afraid of powerful people. He dared to say, "I shouldn't pretend to be an elk in Chinese class." He dared to say to the son of heaven, "I am a dog or a horse, and I want an umbrella from you?" He dared to say bluntly to the emperor, "tyranny is fiercer than a tiger." Floods and droughts kill a hundred times more people than tigers; People are more afraid of debt collection than drought ... There are often more than 200,000 tigers and wolves scattered among the people. How can people live and work in peace and contentment? "

On the contrary, his talent was revealed when his career was not smooth. God closes one of his windows, and it will spread his talents forever. Even if he is demoted, he will still touch everything in the world with his spirit. Wang Anshi's reform was good, but it did not change the whole Song Dynasty. Even if Su Shi struggles to resist and is persecuted, history will give him a bright spring.

Zhou commented on Su Shi: "Reading Dongpo's heroic and unrestrained poetry articles, you simply can't imagine that he has such a bumpy and difficult life." On the optimistic side of Su Shi's personality, his poems are naturally fresh, unrestrained and unrestrained.

At the same time, he also blew this bold wind into his own ci, greatly broadening the theme of his ci. Behind "a spring river, an eternal romantic figure" is the poet's broad-minded mind. Life will inevitably have some ups and downs. When he met the reef, he had smashed it with his broad mind. What a genius.

After reading the biography of Su Dongpo, I first liked Su Shi because of his poems. After reading the biography of Su Dongpo written by Lin Yutang, I was fascinated by Dongpo's perfect personality. At the same time, I am in awe and admiration. A passion surged in my chest, like the surging water of the Yangtze River, and then turned into a force for progress, enlightening my heart and inspiring me to forge ahead. This is Dongpo's eternal spiritual charm!

Su Shi's great character has the profundity, breadth and humor of a versatile genius, high IQ and childlike innocence. His perfect personality stems from his optimistic attitude towards life.

He has a loving heart, and his true feelings for his wife Dongpo are as tender as water, touching and moving to death. "Only tears can do a thousand things." He and Ziyou are brothers. They support each other in their official careers and sing together. A poem "When is the Bright Moon" tells the endless yearning for my younger brother, which suddenly eclipses all the poems written on the moon.

Dongpo is sincere and kind not only to his family, friends and people, but also to his political enemies. As he himself said, "I can accompany the Jade Emperor above, and I can accompany the beggars in Beitian below. There are no bad people in the world before me. " How generous and generous this is! So his friends are all over the world, and happiness has always accompanied him.

Dongpo's life has been ups and downs, and after suffering, he still remains naive and simple. Because he is stubborn by nature, too outspoken and brilliant, he has offended many treacherous villains. The dirty thing about villains is that they can't hide their beauty, and framing is always their specialty, so Dongpo was demoted, exiled and even arrested many times, and almost died in prison. In the face of all hardships, he is still fearless and unhurried. Because he is honest, he is fearless.

In Huangzhou, Lingnan and Hainan Island, no matter how hard the environment is, he can take pleasure in suffering. If you are poor, you will be immune to it, and if you are good, you will help the world. Dongpo grows rice, mulberry, vegetables and silkworms, which is self-sufficient and has its own hard fun. "Cold dishes are cooked in empty water, but reeds are wet in broken stoves", but it is also comfortable. "Have a good meal, lean on a few chairs, the white clouds meander to the left, the Qingjiang River returns to the right, the heavy door opens, and the forest enters." So carefree, compared with Tao Yuanming's leisure and free and easy, "picking chrysanthemums under the east fence and seeing Nanshan leisurely" is even more so. Everything in front of me is beautiful, just because there is a bright sun in my heart! Therefore, he can realize the transformation from real life to artistic life, and turn his rough situation into a life full of artistic aesthetic interest. His poetic life is reflected in his colorful literary and artistic creation. This is Su Shi, an official who can't help himself, but can take things as they are and don't complain about others. Don't be happy with things, don't be sad with yourself; Don't lose face, you have no intention of staying. What a Dongpo! True hero is free and easy, true celebrity is romantic!

Dongpo's shrewdness stems from his outlook on life and is a mixture of Confucianism, Buddhism and Taoism. Serve Confucianism without pedantry, be good at Taoism without being tired of the world, participate in Zen without being vain, he transcends after joining the WTO, and Lotte know life is obsessed with life. He held high the banner of Confucianism, actively joined the WTO, and practiced the good wishes of Confucianism to "cultivate one's morality, govern the country and level the world." No matter in the imperial court or in exile, he always cares about the country and the people and cares about the people. Dredge salt canals, build West Lake, stabilize food prices, alleviate hunger, and build hospitals. "Although thousands of people have left." Being an official and benefiting one party, it won the love of the people.

In troubled times, he was a fearless brave, like Haiyan in a political storm, an enemy of stupid bureaucrats, and a fighter to protect people from violence. He stood up and protested, condemned the despicable political tricks, and advocated clearing the way and abolishing the young crop loan law. He single-handedly marched into the corruption and incompetence of the imperial court and mercilessly attacked the tyranny of protecting officials. How brave and bold! Dongpo is fearless, and his life is like a breeze. How can his loyalty to his country and his courage not be admirable!

Reading Su Dongpo's biography, there are endless waves in my heart, and I can't let go. This is exactly what Lin Yutang wants to tell us about Dongpo's affection and his talent.

Su Shi is an outstanding genius bred by the culture of Song Dynasty. Why did God care for him so much and give him so many talents? Living well is enviable. He is an indispensable genius in the world, writing like water, doing what he should do by hook or by crook; His poems, such as wonders of heaven and earth, are full of all things in the world and full of emotions; His words are like wind and rain, pointing all the way up. He writes like a pen, just like a child's play, "the sound of spring birds and autumn insects" enters the poem at his fingertips, which is a natural expression of true feelings, so reading it gives people happiness. No wonder Song Shenzong was surprised by his article.

After a thousand years, Su Shi's poems are still brilliant and meaningful. "One River Never Returns, One Man Endless Waves, Eternal Romance" is magnificent; "What a reed does, what a reed does" has far-reaching significance. "I don't know the true face of Lushan Mountain, but toward which corner of the mountain" is full of philosophy; "There are brave people in the world, who die without being surprised and are angry without cause". "If the West Lake is better than the West Lake, light makeup and heavy makeup are always appropriate", which is exquisite and elegant; "misty rain life" is bold and open-minded ... his poems are wonderful, ever-changing and never the same, and he can control all kinds of customs freely. Reading his poems or having a boiling passion, feeling dejected or smiling is always an artistic enjoyment. Su Shi's chest seems to contain endless waves and strange rocks. As he himself said, "My writing style is like a thousand springs, which can be found everywhere, even though it is difficult in a day."

Su Shi's time has passed away from us, but his spirit has influenced us for more than a thousand years. In my opinion, he is a laughing elder, a knowledgeable teacher, a joking friend, and a capitalized person, and he will never be indomitable!

The four biographies of the 20th century (Biography of Li Hongzhang by Liang Qichao, Biography of Zhang, Biography of Zhu Yuanzhang by Wu Han, Biography of Su Dongpo by Lin Yutang) have different reading styles, but the biography of Su Dongpo is the most hearty. I have always felt that although thousands of years have passed, the pursuit of literati temperament by Lin Yutang and Su Shi has not faded because of the barrier of time. This shows the penetrating power of chinese heritage.

My love for Su Shi began with reading his works, such as Nostalgia for the Red Cliff, Broad-minded Poems on the Red Cliff, and Wandering in Heaven at Night ... I want to see him in the article, and I feel admired.

Su Shi's literary attainments are amazing, but in the vast history of 5 thousand years, there are not many talents. Sima Qian's history books are blank, Cao Cao's poems are straight and sad, Jiang Yan's prose is wrongly painted, and Liu Yong's poems are lingering ... But Su Shi, only Su Shi, has made me attached to his talent.

Su Shi's life, ups and downs, ups and downs. He was successful as a teenager, dressed in a scowl, and wrote articles all over the world, from Song Renzong, the statue of the Ninth Five-Year Plan, to Ouyang Xiu, the court leader, to Shu Ren, all of whom were admired and cherished. He is a politician, benefiting one side. Thousands of years later, Su Causeway in Hangzhou is still witnessing and telling his nostalgia for Su Shi. During the reign of Empress Xiang, he was highly valued. He served as a college student in Longtuge and ran around to relieve the suffering brought by the New Deal to the people.

However, the political arena is tottering. If the difference between Wang Anshi's reformists and Su Shi is only the difference in political views, then after Wang Anshi, the so-called "reformists" stopped persecuting dissidents, which has far exceeded Wang Anshi's "exile". They fabricated trumped-up charges and created the "Wutai Poetry Case". In addition, they resurrected a group of officials headed by Su Shi in Yuan You. Later, Su Shi was relegated again and again, leaving his old and tired body from Huizhou in Lingnan to Hainan in a foreign land.

Regardless of whether he is in a high position or in the south, Su Shi's impression on future generations is either chic, quiet and self-sustaining, or childlike. Even at low tide, when he meditates on the past, that is, "looking back at the bleak place, rain or shine." Even when he was in Hainan, he was homeless and there was no cure for his illness. He still maintained the spirit of "don't hate Nan Jiu's narrow escape, for the rest of his life". In just over 60 years, I am neither arrogant nor impetuous in glory, neither humble nor condescending in hardship, nor complaining about others. My emotional attachment to him comes from spiritual clapping and singing.

To sum up, Su Shi's temperament has the fearless courage of Confucianism, the obedience of Taoist Ren Zhen to Heaven, and the self-satisfaction of Buddhist "sharing the light with the dust and pitching with the common customs". This is the ideal state of literati, but how many people can really practice it for thousands of years?

Lin Yutang, the author of the book, is also one of my favorite writers. The father and daughter Yao Si 'an and Yao Mulan portrayed by him in Clouds in Beijing are also practitioners of Taoist thought in China culture. Lin Yutang praised Su Shi in his biography. As a reader who likes Su Shi, you will naturally meet a bosom friend after reading such a book. But it is precisely because of his appreciation of Su Shi that the book exudes a strong dislike for another political celebrity at that time, Wang Anshi. Even Su Shi's father, Su Zhe, was accused of a fake book that attacked Wang Anshi, and even Wang Anshi's eccentric personality became the charge of his affectation to gain fame. My understanding of Wang Anshi is vague. But for the reformer, no matter what the final result is, I think, at least he is a brave man of an era.
