Therefore, in order to maintain smooth international trade, a certain amount of US dollar foreign exchange reserves is necessary. In addition to China's surplus status in international trade, there is also a certain amount of foreign exchange surplus every year. You can't keep the surplus dollars in your hands, right? Moreover, these foreign currencies cannot be used for risky investments and can only be invested in safe investments, so buying U.S. bonds has become the best choice. Buying some U.S. bonds is considered an investment, and even the smallest mosquito is still meat.

Secondly, after holding U.S. debt reaches a certain scale, the interests of the United States and creditor countries will converge.

For the United States, U.S. debt is a way for U.S. dollars to return to the United States. But when U.S. debt is held to a certain extent, it is equivalent to an atomic bomb, which can tie together the interests of the United States and the country. Therefore, our country's holding of a certain amount of U.S. debt is equivalent to holding a nuclear weapon that can destroy the U.S. dollar system. In this way, the United States will have some scruples when taking actions. If it reaches the point of death, no one will be easy.

Finally, buying U.S. debt can ease Sino-US relations.

Whether you admit it or not, there is still a long way to go between us and the United States. Compared with the United States, the gap in all aspects is not small. It is obviously irrational to choose a head-on confrontation with the United States now, so peaceful development is the safest way at this time. Because our development speed is faster than that of the United States, the longer we delay, the smaller the distance between us and the United States will be. Buying U.S. bonds during this period can ease Sino-US relations and buy us a longer development time.
