If a borrower is ill and unable to repay, the following methods can be used to deal with it:
1. Actively communicate with creditors, explain their true current situation, and strive for an extension to deal with the debt. Generally, the creditor will agree after verifying the debtor's situation.
2. Re-agree on the time limit and method of repayment by finding a guarantor and providing guarantees to creditors.
3. Repay the debt on time by asking for help from relatives and friends around you. If the debt cannot be repaid for the time being, it must be dealt with through proactive communication, otherwise the communication qualification will be easily lost. The creditor will judge the debtor's behavior and whether he is willing to repay.
If the borrower is ill and temporarily unable to repay the debt, he can actively negotiate with the creditor for installment repayment before the repayment period expires, or to postpone the repayment period. After both parties reach an agreement, a new contract can be signed to protect the interests of creditors, because if the debt is not repaid when due without consultation with the creditor, the creditor may sue the court.
Article 675 of the Civil Code The borrower shall repay the loan within the agreed time limit. If there is no agreement on the loan period or the agreement is unclear, and it cannot be determined according to the provisions of Article 510 of this Law, the borrower may return it at any time; the lender may urge the borrower to return it within a reasonable period of time.
Article 678 The borrower may apply to the lender for an extension before the expiration of the repayment period; if the lender agrees, the extension can be made.
