Major achievements
Exhibitions include 1996 "Xi Dad", which won the excellent prize in the first sculpture exhibition in Jiangsu Province, and "Sunset Red", which won the second prize in the second sculpture exhibition in Jiangsu Province in 2003. There are many sculptures in Huai 'an that reflect local celebrities, such as Wu Cheng'en, capitalist Zhou Enlai, Millennium stories, floating mothers and Han Xin, and the story of "going to the theatre" in rural areas of northern Jiangsu.
Sculpture world sculpture life
As a teenager, he experienced the Cultural Revolution and saw with his own eyes how irrational people regard human dignity, life and excellent culture and art as dirt. I have tasted the taste of wanting to read without reading, and I have also tasted the bitterness of "reading is useless"; I worked in the countryside and worked as a temporary worker in the city. Although he later devoted himself to art education and artistic creation purely for the reasons of the times, he was keen on sculpture because of his childhood hobbies.
Sculpture is a truly "people-oriented" art, which has been the case since ancient times. Although there are some animals, there are few. He is naturally interested in making people out of clay.
His early life experiences and the influence of his thoughts and art left traces in his works. In his view, sculpture art should not only express the beauty of human nature, but also have great advantages in expressing human nature, human love and pain, people's thinking and yearning for life, environment and future. In other words, sculpture creation can grasp the pulse of the times, pay attention to people's livelihood and reflect people's joys and sorrows. This is true of Michelangelo's David and Slave, and so are Rodin's Hell's Gate, Bronze Age and Old Prostitute. Aesthetic art is intoxicating, and works with unique artistic forms and profound ideological connotations are alarming. I prefer the latter.
