On March 25th, the inaugural meeting and the first member representative meeting of China Internet Finance Association led by the People's Bank of China were held in Shanghai. Leaders of the People's Bank of China and the Shanghai Municipal People's Government attended the meeting and unveiled the China Internet Finance Association.

The meeting elected the first board of directors and the board of supervisors. After voting by all members, CreditEase was elected as the executive director of China Internet Finance Association, competing with Internet finance companies such as Baidu and Tencent and traditional financial institutions including China Industrial and Commercial Bank.

CreditEase was successfully elected as the executive director unit this time, not only because CreditEase insisted on serving the high-growth population and the mass affluent class in China with innovative ideas, models and technologies, but also because CreditEase strictly complied with the regulatory requirements of the regulatory authorities, the articles of association and the self-discipline convention.

With the gradual implementation of regulatory policies such as Guiding Opinions on Promoting the Healthy Development of Internet Finance and Interim Measures for the Management of Business Activities of Personal-to-Personal Lending Information Intermediaries (Draft for Comment), Internet finance has officially entered the era of comprehensive supervision. China Internet Finance Association, as the highest-level industry self-regulatory organization at present, will certainly promote the standardized development of the Internet finance industry and step into a more rational and healthy development track. As a practitioner and leader of Internet finance in China, CreditEase will continue to play an important role in promoting industry self-discipline. Prior to this, CreditEase was elected as the president unit of Beijing Online Loan Industry Association, the vice president unit of China Microfinance Company Association, and the vice president unit of Internet Finance Professional Committee of China Payment and Clearing Association under the guidance of China People's Bank.
