Do I have to pay taxes on selling a house to earn 2 million?
You have to pay taxes when you sell a house.

It is the duty of every citizen of China to pay personal income tax. According to the individual income tax law, individual income tax should be levied according to the item of "income from property transfer" on the income obtained by individuals from selling their own houses.

1. Personal income tax is levied on the income from housing transfer, and the actual transaction price is the transfer income. If the housing transaction price declared by the taxpayer is obviously lower than the market price without normal reasons, the tax authorities have the right to verify the transfer income according to the relevant information, but the tax basis of various taxes must be consistent.

2. The taxable income of individual income tax is calculated based on the income from the transfer of housing. Taxpayers can deduct the original value of the house, taxes paid in the process of transfer and related reasonable expenses from their income with valid documents such as house purchase contracts and invoices after being audited by the tax authorities.

3. The taxes and fees paid in the process of transfer refer to the business tax, urban construction tax, education surcharge, land value-added tax and stamp duty paid by taxpayers when transferring houses.

4. Reasonable expenses refer to unified tax invoices, housing loan interest, handling fees, notarization fees, etc. It is actually paid by the taxpayer according to the regulations.

5. If the taxpayer can't provide complete and accurate proof of the original value of the house and can't correctly calculate the original value of the house and the taxable income, the tax authorities may, according to the provisions of Article 35 of the Tax Administration Law, verify the collection within the range of 1%-3%.

6. Personal income tax shall be exempted for the income obtained from the personal transfer of the house that is the only living room for the family for more than five years.
