The emergency contact person of bank loan does not need to bear legal responsibility, and the emergency contact person is not a guarantor. If the borrower fails to repay the loan on time, it needs to pay a certain amount of overdue interest in accordance with the agreement or relevant state regulations, and bear the corresponding liability for breach of contract. The emergency contact person is the spare mobile phone number, which belongs to the person who contacts the loan and does not involve responsibility. The loan emergency contact person only chooses when the borrower cannot be contacted, and does not need to bear the corresponding legal responsibility, and has no obligation to help the borrower repay the loan.

When applying for a credit card, you need to fill in the contact information of the emergency contact person. However, there are no strict rules on the identity of emergency contacts. Theoretically, it can be parents, colleagues, or even strangers.
