Creditors' door-to-door collection is a statutory civil legal act by which the creditor asserts its creditor's rights against the debtor, and is an act by which the creditor exercises its legal civil rights. However, creditors should pay attention to protecting their legitimate rights and interests and avoid violating the Public Security Administration Punishment Law. If a creditor comes to collect debts and commits the following acts, it is illegal. After entering the house, physically assaulting the residents, causing certain harm; destroying the house property, causing serious damage, or causing major economic losses; illegally coercing the residents or illegally restricting the residents' personal freedom.

Legal Basis

Article 40 of the "Public Security Administration Punishment Law of the People's Republic of China"

Whoever commits any of the following acts shall be sentenced to ten days If the circumstances are more serious, the person shall be detained for not less than 15 days but not more than 10 days, and shall be fined not less than 500 yuan but not more than 1,000 yuan; if the circumstances are relatively minor, he shall be detained for not less than 5 days but not more than 10 days, and shall be fined not less than 200 yuan but not more than 500 yuan:

< p>1. Organizing, coercing, or luring people under the age of 16 or persons with disabilities to perform horrific or cruel performances;

2. Using violence, threats, or other means to force others to work;

3. Illegal restriction of other people’s personal freedom, illegal intrusion into other people’s homes, or illegal search of other people’s bodies.
