How long does it take for the arbitration agreement to be pronounced on an overdue loan?

Arbitration of overdue loans usually makes a decision within four months.

The arbitral tribunal shall make its decision within four months after its formation. If there are special circumstances that require an extension of the arbitration period, the chief arbitrator or the sole arbitrator shall submit a written application fifteen days after the arbitration period expires. The arbitration period may be extended appropriately with the approval of the Chairman of the Commission. The four-month adjudication period specified in the preceding paragraph does not include the arbitration announcement, objections to the validity of the arbitration agreement, objections to the arbitration jurisdiction and the appraisal period.

Article 61 of the "Beijing Arbitration Commission Arbitration Rules" stipulates that the arbitral tribunal shall make an arbitral award within four months (excluding the appraisal period and announcement period) after the arbitral tribunal is formed. If there are special circumstances that require an extension, the chief arbitrator shall submit it to the Secretary-General of the Arbitration Commission for approval, and the extension may be appropriate.
