The provincial government issued the "Opinions on Launching the Pilot Work of Poverty Alleviation Microfinance" to establish and manage the poverty alleviation microfinance support fund. Poor households in underdeveloped areas will be able to apply for poverty alleviation loans of up to 30,000 yuan.

Guangdong will select 1 county (city, district) with a large number of poor people and mature conditions from 14 prefecture-level cities in the underdeveloped areas of eastern and western Guangdong to carry out the pilot work of poverty alleviation microfinance. The maximum amount of single-family loans for poor households is RMB 30,000. Leading enterprises in poverty alleviation agriculture, specialized farming households and rural cooperative economic organizations that sign contracts or agreements to increase the income of poor households may apply for loans of 5,000 yuan per kloc-0 poor households, with the maximum loan amount not exceeding 300,000 yuan.
