Nowadays, central enterprises and state-owned enterprises have joined the gravel industry in succession, which has also had some impact on the future development of the gravel industry. Staff related to the sand and gravel industry said that the supply of sand and gravel is in a tight state now, and some listed companies have joined the sand and gravel industry in an attempt to obtain high profits from it.

From June 2065438 to June 2009, the relevant departments issued the "Regulations on the Supervision of Central Ecological Environmental Protection", which put forward a guiding plan for the comprehensive development of environmental protection and indicated that the sand and gravel industry was facing greater environmental supervision pressure. Prior to this, the management of sand and gravel industry was relatively loose, so many people dug in some specific areas, which affected the ecological environment. At the same time, disorderly mining has caused great challenges to the natural environment and wasted resources. 20 19 The General Office of Hunan Provincial People's Government issued relevant measures, saying that it is necessary to comprehensively rectify the sand and gravel industry and strictly supervise some sand and gravel mines that do not meet relevant regulations and standards.

The number of sand and gravel mines in Hunan Province is about 3,600, and the goal of Hunan Province is to control it within 1.500, which means that the number of sand and gravel mines will be greatly reduced, which also makes the sand and gravel industry change accordingly. Under the influence of the high-pressure policy, some small enterprises can close their businesses in order to recover their losses. It is very difficult to obtain the approval of sand mining right, even if a lot of efforts have been made in the early stage, it will not be satisfactory.

The demand for sand and gravel from all sectors of society is increasing, which also leads to the rising price of sand and gravel after the supply end is tightened. The price of sand and gravel has been kept in a relatively stable state. With the gradual recovery of construction projects, the demand for building materials has also increased. Most sand and gravel resources are unevenly distributed, so for some provinces with abundant sand and gravel resources, the most important task is to meet local demand, while those without sand and gravel resources rely more on external supply.
