Dazhu County, known as "the hometown of ramie in China", "the first county of Toona sinensis in China", "the capital of fermented grains in China", "the hometown of glutinous rice in China" and "the hometown of bamboo in eastern Sichuan", is located in the east of Sichuan Province and the south of Dazhou City. It was founded in the Tianyuan year of Tang Wuze (AD 700) and has a history of 1300 years. The county covers an area of 2,076 square kilometers.
