This play is based on Dou Liang's novel One Hundred Years Past. During the Xianfeng period of the Qing Dynasty, Songzhuzhai, a century-old paper shop in Beijing Liulichang, was deeply loved by literati because of its excellent quality and complete goods, and was famous all over Jingmen. 1860 During the Second Opium War, the shopkeeper Matsuzaka used Gu Mo to stop bleeding and heal the wounds of General Zheng Yuanpei, saving his life. General Zheng thanked Monk Huai Su for the Notre Dame de Xiling and the Willow Bird's Nest.
The second-generation shopkeeper Zhang Linshan () is addicted to having fun, and even his nephew Zhang Linyou () is not interested in reading. Qiu Yue (), a descendant of Zheng, was razed to the ground, and was later saved by Yang (), an adult of the Ministry of Punishment, and was finally recognized by the Zhang family.
