How will China’s free-range farmers develop in the future? Is family farming a good model?

The current problem in my country's breeding industry is that "the breeding level of large-scale breeding farms is not high enough, and the breeding technology of small-scale free-range farmers is poor."

However, it is too difficult to process manure in intensive and large-scale breeding farms, and the quality of meat is not excellent. With the improvement of people’s consumption level and consumption awareness, I personally think that family farms are the best choice for our country’s national conditions. The new breeding method is the future of the breeding industry! It's just a matter of time. The current situation of free-range pig farmers

Take free-range pig farmers as an example. The pig breeding volume of free-range pig farmers accounts for half of the total pig population in my country. Free-range farmers generally raise ten or dozens of pigs. Compared with large-scale breeding farms, there should be no problem in the treatment of manure. Then why is it not handled well? Then a large number of people stood up and said that it was because our farmers had low education, poor quality, and did not understand technology. When I was in college, I met a teacher who specialized in waste utilization and manure treatment. He was very famous in this area. Especially under the pressure of environmental protection in recent years, many farm owners have approached him. Dispose of manure.

Among them, I remember that he mentioned the dry and wet treatment technology of manure, the biogas digester fermentation technology, the production of organic fertilizer from dry matter, and the use of biogas slurry as fertilizer for urban flower planting, which is clean, hygienic, and green. The case is that a district or county built a cattle farm with 10,000 cows. During the construction, industry experts suggested that the manure problem was difficult to deal with and that it was not suitable to build such a large cattle farm in the local area. However, the local government was bent on increasing the number of cows. Local industries insist on construction and expansion. Less than a year later, the cow farm’s manure treatment work could no longer bear it. The government began to look for experts in manure treatment and spent a lot of money to transport and treat the manure. Of course, all this cost was the state’s money. It's so heartbreaking.

The current situation of free-range farmers is that due to limited funds and insufficient breeding scale, they cannot receive national environmental subsidies for manure treatment! But it can't compare to large-scale breeding farms, which have state subsidies and professional and technical personnel, and can bring industrial value to the local area and bring glory to their faces. Based on the above point of view, I personally think that family farms are a good breeding model in the future, which is suitable for my country's small farmer economy. Manure can be absorbed on site and enrich the soil. Moreover, the current large-scale breeding farms are just to meet the supply of meat. As a large number of gold-seekers enter the breeding industry, competition will become increasingly fierce, and the pursuit of meat quality will be the way out in the future. Free-range farmers can be saved, but what they need is government support and technical support!
