There are only more than 80 manufacturing companies in the Development Zone and Qibin District, and there are only 23 companies with an annual output of more than 1 million yuan. The ability of enterprises to radiate and drive is weak. Except for Tianhai Group (New District Factory), which has radiated some automotive electronics and electrical appliances companies, other companies are basically unconnected and it is difficult to form a competitive industrial base in the province and even domestically.
3. Enterprises have insufficient investment in science and technology, and their products have low technical content

Restricted by factors such as capital and talent, most enterprises have little investment in science and technology and are unable to adopt high and new technologies. Their product updates are slow, their technological content is low, and their ability to adapt to the market is relatively weak. Except for Tianhai Group and Tianyuan Company, most of them are in their infancy, with small scale and few end products. Except for Tianhai Group and Maxton, which have relatively strong technological innovation capabilities, other companies basically have no independent development capabilities, and their ability to digest, absorb, and re-innovate imported technologies is insufficient.
4. There is a shortage of development funds and a lack of talents
During this survey, almost all enterprises reported a lack of funds and difficulties in obtaining bank financing, especially private enterprise loans. More difficult. Even if some companies have competitive projects and good development prospects, it is difficult to obtain financial support from banks. Few financing channels and tight funds have become constraints restricting the development of advanced manufacturing in our city.
Advanced manufacturing is a technology-intensive industry, and the lack of talent is also an important factor restricting its development. There are only 3,308 engineering and technical personnel working in industrial enterprises in our city, accounting for 10.34% of the city's 32,000 professional and technical personnel. The share is too small and far lower than the national average. The proportion of employees with senior professional titles in advanced manufacturing enterprises in Qibin District is only 1%, and the number of employees with intermediate professional titles is only 3%. At the same time, the proportion of skilled workers, especially senior technicians, in the enterprises is too small, leaving a huge gap. Due to restrictions on economic development, wages in manufacturing enterprises in our city are generally lower than those in economically developed areas, resulting in serious brain drain. It is understood that nearly two-thirds of the students with college degree or above introduced by Tianhai Group every year change jobs to economically developed areas after several years of training and mastering the technology.
3. Suggestions on accelerating the development of the advanced manufacturing base in the new area

Through research, we recommend giving key support to the following companies.
First, in the automobile and spare parts manufacturing industry, focus on supporting the annual production capacity of 250 million sets of automobile connectors, more than 1 million wire harnesses, 50,000 sets of fuse boxes, and 50,000 sets of central distribution equipment.
