Provident fund can be used to buy a house, and only residential projects can apply for provident fund loans. Office buildings, shops and apartments do not accept provident fund.

The provident fund cannot be directly used as the down payment for buying a house: if you want to buy a house through the housing provident fund loan, you need to spend it first and then withdraw it, that is, you need to pay the down payment first, and then bring your ID card and household registration book or both husband and wife. Married people need to provide proof materials such as marriage certificate and go to the local housing provident fund management center to extract the storage balance in their provident fund.
