First, adjust the tightness of the handbrake.
In winter, the road surface is slippery, and the hand brake has more functions. Need to adjust the tightness, be sure to pull when parking to ensure that the car does not slip.
Second, check the tires and air pressure.
In winter, the road friction coefficient is low, so the tire pressure should not be too high, but it should not be too low. The outside temperature is low and the tire pressure is low. Soft tires will seriously accelerate aging. In addition, due to the characteristics of automobile positioning, such as a certain camber angle, high in the middle of the road and low on both sides, the internal and external wear of tires is quite different. In order to ensure safety and reduce wear and tear, tires should be replaced regularly.
Third, the battery should be replenished with electrolyte.
The battery is most afraid of low temperature, and the capacity of the battery under low temperature environment is much lower than that under normal temperature. Therefore, before the arrival of the cold season, the electrolyte of the battery should be replenished, and the terminals of the battery should be cleaned and protected with special grease to ensure reliable starting and prolong the life of the battery. If the vehicle is parked in the open air or refrigerated environment for several weeks, the battery should be taken out and stored in a warmer room to prevent the battery from freezing and damaging.
Fourth, prepare items such as snow chains.
It may snow at any time in winter, so it is necessary to prepare snow supplies in advance in case of emergency.
Five, check the fuse box.
Clean, check and replace the hidden fuse in time, keep the fuse box clean, and avoid failure due to fuse problems in dark winter.
Six, check and replace the glass water in winter.
In the environment below 0℃ in winter, antifreeze winter glass water should be replaced, and tap water cannot be used. Because once the temperature is too low, substitutes such as pure water and tap water often freeze, and sometimes the container is broken, so in winter, the original substitutes such as pure water must be taken out and replaced with glass cleaning liquid that is not afraid of freezing. If you really want to save, you can use a 5 ∶/kloc-0 ∶ mixture of tap water and antifreeze instead.
Seven, check the rubber wiper blade.
When the temperature is low in winter, the aging rubber wiper blade becomes stiff and cannot be used. It is better to replace it to ensure safety.
Eight, check the front and rear lights and bulbs.
Checking and replacing black bulbs in advance can reduce the number of bulb replacement in winter. As the saying goes, "three points are under repair, seven points are under maintenance", and the possibility of car failure is inevitable, but careful maintenance will definitely prolong the service life and prevent many failures.
Nine, keep the thermostat working normally.
The thermostat is used to automatically control the normal water temperature of the engine. When the engine is started at a low temperature, it can quickly heat up the engine and reduce cylinder wear. Some cars have high water temperature in summer, so the repair union removed the thermostat. Although summer can solve the problem, it is the other way around in winter. If you are not careful, you may waste a bucket of antifreeze for a small water pipe.
The test shows that if the thermostat is removed, the engine start-up heating time will be extended by 4 to 5 times, and the cylinder wear will increase by 5 to 6 times. Therefore, it is incorrect to disassemble the thermostat at will.
