The housing accumulation fund system is an important social security system for housing stipulated by national laws, which is mandatory, mutually supportive and guaranteed. Units and individual employees must fulfill their obligations to pay housing provident fund according to law.

Reportedly, the housing provident fund consists of two parts: one part is the part paid by individual employees, and the other part is the part paid by the unit for employees (the housing subsidy given to employees by the unit according to the policy). Both parts are owned by individual employees and all of them are remitted to the employee's personal housing provident fund account.

It is the obligation of the unit to pay housing provident fund for employees, and it is the right of employees to ask the unit to pay housing provident fund for themselves. Those who fail to pay the housing provident fund will lose the qualification to purchase affordable housing by using the provident fund loan discount.
