Legal analysis: the gift can only be completed when the loan is paid off. Giving is giving one's property to the recipient. Since the donor has not obtained the property ownership under the loan conditions, the donor can only give the property to the donee after the loan is repaid.

Legal basis: Article 657 of the Civil Law of People's Republic of China (PRC) is a gift contract in which the donor gives his property to the donee free of charge and the donee expresses his acceptance of the gift.

Article 659 If the donated property needs to go through registration or other formalities according to law, it shall go through the relevant formalities.
