On September 6, 20 13, the Bank for International Settlements released a triennial survey report on the global foreign exchange market turnover. RMB surpassed Swedish krona and New Zealand dollar, and became the top ten trading currencies in the world for the first time, ranking ninth in the world. The average daily turnover soared from $34 billion in April of 20 10 to $12 billion, accounting for 2.2% of the total global transactions.
