According to recent Russian media reports, the Russian Defense Export Corporation announced that it began to promote AK-200 series assault rifles in the international market, and its first overseas exhibition will be held during the 20 19 Abu Dhabi International Defense Exhibition (IDEX).

Its president Alexander Mikheyev released a message saying: "The export license of AK-200 series assault rifles has been obtained. After that, Russian anti-export companies can sell ак-200, ак-203, ак-204 and ак-205 to their partners.

According to the company's president, countries in the Middle East and around the world are very interested in these assault rifles.

The company plans to hold a series of negotiations during IDEX in 2009. Exporting to local tyrants in the Middle East seems to not only gain foreign exchange, but also increase the arms market share and regional influence.

Vladimir Dmitrieff, general manager of Russian Kalashnikov Group, said in an interview with Russian media that the first foreign enterprise to manufacture AK-200 assault rifles may be a Russian-Indian joint venture factory in India.
