If the remittance information is incorrect, BOC, as the remitting bank, cannot directly account for it, so it needs to send an inquiry telegram to the remitting bank, which will correct the original remittance instruction and account for it. If the remittance correction letter is not received for a long time (usually 2 months), the Bank of China will refund the money in the way it came.
