Looking around the world, black tea occupies the absolute dominance of tea in western countries. Afternoon tea in Europe is basically a mixture of black tea. Several tea-producing countries in the world except China, especially countries colonized by European invaders in history, mostly grow black tea. For example, India, Kenya, Sri Lanka and Indonesia.
Black tea is refined through a series of technological processes such as withering, rolling, fermentation and drying. It belongs to fully fermented tea. All the four major tea producing areas in China have black tea producing areas, and the people in Zhengshan, Fujian, a tea producing area in South China, have old brand black tea. Jin Junmei, a rising star, is deeply loved by the market. Sichuan red and Yunnan red in the southwest tea-growing area have high cost performance. Qimen black tea in Jiangnan tea area is known as the first of the three high-aroma black teas in the world. Rizhao black tea in Jiangcha tea area is also a famous black tea in recent years.
In essence, black tea is the general name of a production process, and the tea produced by this process can be called black tea. So in addition to many classic old brands of black tea, many new black teas have appeared in many areas. For example, Dabie Mountain, my hometown, is a famous green tea producing area. Nowadays, many people have improved the technology of Qimen black tea, combined with local characteristics, and made it into moon red, which tastes good.
This is a symbol of the heat of the black tea market. If there is no hype and the market is not optimistic, no one will bother to do it. Once there is profit, it will stimulate the processing and production of tea to a certain extent. This is the situation of black tea in China. There are dozens of kinds of black tea, including Rizhao black tea, Qi Hong, Zhaopinghong, Huohong, Dianhong, Yue Hong, Quanchenghong, Quanchenggreen, Su Hong, Chuanhong, Hong Ying and Dongjiang Chuyunxian black tea.
Foreign black tea is more prosperous than China. Because many tea-producing countries basically use black tea as the main variety and export it to western countries such as Europe and America, including but not limited to Sri Lanka, India and Kenya. Here, I'll just give a few examples and say a few well-known foreign black tea varieties. The first is Indian Darjeeling black tea, which has a very special aroma and is called champagne in black tea. The second is Indian Assam black tea. Camellia sinensis var. assamica has a unique variety, and many foreign red tea trees are Assam varieties. Assam black tea is rich in flavor and bright red in soup, so it is called strong tea in black tea. The third kind is Ceylon Highland black tea, which is usually chopped, and the top grade is the one with gold rings along the cup wall after brewing. The aroma is irritating, similar to mint aroma, and the taste is mellow and sweet.
In short, there are many varieties of black tea in the world, and the main product forms are traditional Kung Fu black tea, small black tea and broken black tea. At present, the most popular tea in China is special black tea, similar to Jin Junmei, Quirrell, Qihong Mao Feng and so on. Tea raw materials are of high quality, exquisite appearance and good taste and aroma. It turns out that traditional Kung Fu black tea is not very popular with domestic consumers, which is also the result of different pursuits of tea drinking at home and abroad.
