Legal Basis: Notice on Further Standardizing the Administration of Purchasing Houses by Overseas Institutions and Individuals Article 2 When handling the filing of pre-sale contracts of commercial houses and the registration of property rights of overseas individuals, local real estate authorities shall check the materials stipulated in the Measures for the Administration of Pre-sale of Urban Commercial Houses and the Measures for Housing Registration, and also verify the ownership of the houses purchased by the buyers:

1, the certificate issued by the relevant departments that overseas individuals (excluding Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan residents and overseas Chinese) have worked in China for more than 1 year; Certificates of Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan residents and overseas Chinese working, studying and staying in China.
