Only companies that have set up a foreign exchange account with the Administration of Foreign Exchange can directly accept foreign exchange remittances. Any company without a foreign exchange account cannot accept foreign exchange. If there is a valid reason, it must be approved by the relevant government department and then approved by the Administration of Foreign Exchange before it can accept foreign exchange.

For companies without a foreign exchange account, even if the foreign exchange is remitted to a domestic bank, it cannot be used and can only be returned to the remitter abroad.
