1. Ending:
Anna (played by Christina Ricci) is a survivor of a car accident, but she is surprised to find that she has been pronounced dead. The evidence is that preparations for her funeral are already underway, and the person in charge is the funeral director Elliot (Liam Neeson). Anna was confused and frightened by this. Because she knew very well that the end of the funeral was to be buried alive in a coffin. She reveals herself to Elliot, hoping that he will stick to the truth that she is still alive.
The two were debating in the closed morgue. Elliot insisted on performing his duties and explained to Anna the reasons why she came to the "afterlife". And Anna faced the bottomless darkness, and her heart was extremely sad. However, Elliot doesn't agree with Anna's statement. He insisted that he was able to identify Anna's ghost because of his psychic abilities. Only one person still believes that Anna is alive, and that is her boyfriend Paul (Justin Long).
He did not agree with Elliot's statement and insisted on investigating the cause of Anna's death. Slowly, he got closer to the truth.
