The Republic of Zambia is a landlocked country in south-central Africa, bordering Malawi and Mozambique in the east, Zimbabwe, Botswana and Namibia in the south, Angola in the west and Congo (DRC) and Tanzania in the north.

It mainly exports copper, cobalt, zinc, wood, tobacco, sugar and coffee, among which copper export is Zambia's main source of foreign exchange. It mainly imports machinery and equipment, petroleum, chemical products, medicine and textiles.
The main exporting countries are Switzerland, China, South Africa, Congo (DRC) and Egypt, and the main importing countries are South Africa, Congo (DRC), China and India. In 2020, the export volume was US$ 6.763 billion and the import volume was US$ 4.527 billion.
