China Bank, China Industrial and Commercial Bank, China Agricultural Bank, China Construction Bank, Bank of Communications and China Merchants Bank are all banks approved by the state to engage in foreign exchange business.

To exchange foreign currency in these banks, you need to bring one of the following valid documents: my ID card, household registration book, military ID card, Hong Kong and Macao residents' passes to and from the Mainland, passports, and fill out the foreign exchange form in accordance with bank regulations.

Different bank outlets have different foreign currency reserves, so it is better to choose a higher level.
