In 2012, Sheyang County received 1.03 million domestic and foreign tourists throughout the year, including 1.03 million domestic tourists and 7,800 inbound tourists. Domestic tourism revenue was 980 million yuan and tourism foreign exchange revenue was 6.1 million US dollars.

In 2013, Sheyang County achieved an added value of 13.95 billion yuan in the service industry, an increase of 12.7%; the total retail sales of consumer goods was 12.35 billion yuan, an increase of 12.3%. The service industry tax revenue reached 1.7 billion yuan, accounting for 65.3% of the county's tax revenue. There were 33 enterprises with tax revenue exceeding 10 million yuan, and 41 enterprises with tax revenue of 5 million to 10 million yuan, a net increase of 13 and 12 companies respectively year-on-year. Commercial housing sales reached 993,000 square meters, an increase of 90%. There were 31 new service industry enterprises above designated standards, an increase of 72.1%. The Southwest Professional Market Cluster has been successfully upgraded to a municipal-level modern service industry cluster, and 80% of the construction projects in the three functional areas of the Huangshagang Fishery Service Cluster have been completed.

In 2013, Sheyang County provided 1.52 billion yuan in loan guarantees and 1.56 billion yuan in bridge funds for enterprises; it allocated 1.4 billion yuan in infrastructure construction funds. The balance of deposits in financial institutions was 24.44 billion yuan, an increase of 3.88 billion yuan from the beginning of the year; the balance of various loans was 17.12 billion yuan, an increase of 1.735 billion yuan from the beginning of the year.
