The SWIFT code is used by banks in China, and you don't need a routing number for remittance from Europe to China, so you only need to provide the SWIFT code of the receiving bank in China. Take China Bank Beijing Branch as an example, and its bank identification code is BKCHCNBJ 1 10. Its meaning is BKCH (bank code), CN (country code), BJ (area code),1/kloc-0 (branch code).

If the remittance is sent overseas from China, the corresponding identification code, i.e. routing number, should be selected according to the area where the payee's bank is located. Usually, the bank code of the bank is printed in the lower left corner of the front of the check.
