The net foreign exchange income from the sale of export commodities is generally the net amount of the foreign exchange income from the sale of export commodities after deducting the freight, insurance and commission of the goods abroad. Generally speaking, the foreign exchange income of goods traded on FOB basis is net income. For goods traded at CIF or FOB prices, freight, insurance and commission shall be deducted from foreign exchange income.
The net foreign exchange income of export commodities is one of the important indicators to assess the operation of foreign trade export enterprises. The higher the net foreign exchange income, the stronger the export earning capacity and the greater the contribution to the country. On the contrary, the weaker the ability to earn foreign exchange, the smaller the contribution to the country.
