At present, there is only one convention and exhibition center in Harbin, called Harbin International Convention and Exhibition Sports Center, which is located on Changjiang Road in the development zone. With a total construction area of 360,000 square meters, there are three exhibition areas A, B and C, and there are about 2,000 standard booths. Huaqi Hotel on the 38th floor, multi-function conference hall, globe theater and gymnasium for 10,000 people have been put into use. The outdoor stadium with 50,000 people has not been built and put into use.

Harbin International Convention and Exhibition Sports Center holds national-level expositions every June1May-June 19, and holds auto shows, clothing exhibitions and star concerts. In the winter of 2005, the Ice and Snow Sculpture Exhibition of China-Russia Friendship Year was held in South Square. The Convention and Exhibition Center is not only an economic and trade center, but also a center for Harbin citizens to watch performances, competitions, entertainment and exercise.
