Egypt.

Suez Canal (Arabic: Qanā al-Suways, also translated as Suez Canal) is located on the west side of Sinai Peninsula in Egypt, across the Suez Isthmus at the junction of Asia and Africa, from Port Said on the Mediterranean side to Suez in the Suez Bay in the Red Sea, with a total length of about 163 km. It is one of the few shiplock-free canals in the world with the capacity of large merchant ships.

The canal is currently owned and managed by the Suez Canal Authority in Egypt. Because of its strategic position, according to international agreements, "the canal can be used by any commercial and military vessels in wartime, just like in peacetime, and there is no need to hang distinctive flags."

Extended data:

The inland length of the Suez Canal from the southern entrance to the lighthouse in Port Said at the northern end is 163 km, and the length from the waiting area in the southern section to the buoy in the northern channel is about 190 km. The river course includes two parts: the south section of Daku Lake and the north section.

The speed limit of the canal is full of oil tankers 13km/h and cargo ships14 km/h. It takes 1 1 to 16 hours to cross the canal. Supertankers need to unload some of their cargo onto special vessels in the canal and then reload it at the exit.

There is a dredger fleet involved in various dredging projects, a rescue tugboat fleet for rescue and fire fighting, a set of communication and navigation monitoring system providing navigation services, and two shipyards in Port Said and Taufik. There is a parallel railway along the west bank of the canal.
