Why can domestic credit card purchases be credited to the account, but foreign purchases cannot be credited to the card?

1. Overseas online payment has little to do with domestic online banking. But the foreign exchange limit on your card must meet the payment requirements. It is recommended to adjust the security level of IE browser to "medium" or lower.

2. For overseas online payment, you need to provide your card number/name/card validity period/CVV, where CVV refers to the 3 numbers on the signature strip on the back of your card. Please protect this.

3. Overseas online payment is closed by default in some banks. You can call the card-issuing bank to activate it.

4. 3D verification limitations. Still because of the prevalence of fraudulent transactions, V and M established a 3D verification system, which actually helps you set a password for your credit card for online purchases. This function is turned off by default. You can call the card-issuing bank to enable it. Please note that whether this function is enabled depends on the merchant. Some merchants have not enabled 3D. Even if you have enabled it, you do not need to enter the password. Some merchants have forced 3D to be enabled. Some people say that the website of the Spanish Railways cannot be used if you do not enable swiping your card.

5. In most cases, whether the two overseas online payment/3D verification functions are enabled and the brand of your credit card are the main reasons for whether you can successfully pay, and have nothing to do with the domestic card-issuing bank.

6. Card region restrictions. Merchants have restricted the card-issuing regions. Common ones include French IDTGV and Apple's iTunes. These merchants may not accept credit cards issued in certain regions, and there is nothing you can do about it.

7. If it doesn’t work, try registering Paypal (foreign Alipay) and binding your credit card. Under normal circumstances, online payment with Paypal in the United States and Europe is no problem and very convenient.

8. Choose to pay in the foreign currency corresponding to your dual currency card instead of the local currency. That is, if your credit card is a U.S. dollar-RMB dual-currency card, choose U.S. dollars; if your credit card is a Euro-RMB dual-currency card, choose Euro.

Don’t use any all-currency card!
