Our bank only handles personal cash business in US dollars and Hong Kong dollars. Other currencies, such as euro, Japanese yen and British pound, generally do not deposit cash over the counter, nor do they accept cash settlement and sale of foreign exchange over the counter. If you go to the Bank of China, it may only be available in the largest branch in the city, and ordinary branches may not have foreign exchange business.

Because the amount you want to exchange is relatively small, you can bring your valid documents directly to the counter of China Bank to buy US dollars and Hong Kong dollars in cash. But if it's euros, yen and pounds, you can buy it through Taobao, or go to the local black market, pawnshop or underground bank in front of the Bank of China and ask if you want foreign exchange.
