Huang Boyun, male, Han nationality,19451/kloc-0, born in June, Hunan Province, is a representative of the 16th National Congress of the Communist Party of China.

1969 graduated from the department of special metallurgy, Central South Institute of Mining and Metallurgy. 1980 to 1986 received master's and doctor's degrees from Iowa state university. After that, he entered the University of Tennessee and Oak Ridge National Laboratory for postdoctoral research, and 1988 returned to China. 1President of Central South University of Technology in July 1997 and President of Central South University in February 2006 in 5438+0. 1999 1 1 was elected as an academician of China Academy of Engineering.

Huang Boyun has been engaged in the research of powder metallurgy materials science and engineering for a long time, and has done a lot of creative work in the research and application of aviation brake materials, high-temperature intermetallic compounds and special functional materials, making outstanding contributions to the localization of aircraft brake materials, the national key project of aircraft brake materials, and the establishment of domestic first-class and internationally influential powder metallurgy high-tech radiation base and talent training base.
