Individual customers can purchase ruble cash in China at Bank of China branch or online banking channel, and handle international remittance of ruble to any receiving bank in Russia. Russian individual customers can also directly remit rubles into personal accounts opened in domestic branches of Bank of China through three institutions of Bank of China (Russia). The Bank of China (Russian Federation) will serve as the clearing center of the ruble, providing remittance, remittance transfer and payment settlement services for individual customers and financial peers.
Bank of China (Russia) was established in 1993 and is wholly owned by Bank of China. It is the first operating financial institution established by a Chinese bank in Russia and holds a comprehensive banking license. 20 10 bank of China (Russia) became a Moscow foreign exchange RMB market maker, providing comprehensive RMB products such as corporate finance, personal finance, trade finance and financial institutions to customers from both countries; 20 12 started the cross-border settlement business of rubles under trade, and provided cross-border financial services such as payment and settlement of rubles and investment for enterprises of the two countries.
