What currency is Hong Kong dollars?
HKD is the legal tender of Hong Kong. Its full name is Hong Kong dollars, and its Chinese name is Hong Kong dollars or Hong Kong dollars. The Hong Kong Monetary Authority and three Hong Kong note-issuing banks, namely Bank of China (Hong Kong), HSBC and Standard Chartered Bank, are responsible for issuing Hong Kong dollars. Hong Kong has established a linked exchange rate system linking the issuance of Hong Kong dollars to the US dollar, and the US dollar held by the Exchange Fund has provided support for the stability of Hong Kong dollar banknotes.
