Goods exported from Nigeria and CCVO to Nigeria
Form M is the import registration of most goods imported in kind by Nigerian authorities, and it is also the voucher for purchasing foreign exchange (Nigeria is a country with foreign exchange control, and only through Form M or Form A can it apply to the central bank for foreign payment in US dollars). Form M is applied by the importer to the commodity inspection company designated by the authorities before delivery (shipping and air transportation are different companies), and the exporter needs to indicate the number on the bill of lading. If there is no M form, the goods cannot be cleared normally, and in many cases, SEALINE or airlines will not pick up the goods without M form.

In addition, Form M is a prerequisite for opening an L/C. If you pay back the money by letter of credit, you need to complete the registration of Form M before you can apply to the bank for opening an L/C.

CCVO only needs to confirm the format with the customer, and the seller can sign and seal it, without taking it to the CCPIT.
