Transactional open-end index funds (exchange-traded funds and ETFs for short) refer to open-end funds that are raised according to law and invested in portfolio securities corresponding to specific indexes or other investment targets agreed in fund contracts.

ETF fund shares are redeemed by means of "share subscription and share redemption" through portfolio securities, cash or other consideration agreed in the fund contract, and are listed and traded on the exchange.
