The Crisis History of Vietnam's Financial Crisis
The third crisis was due to the continuous depreciation of the Vietnamese dong. In order to promote the appreciation of the Vietnamese dong against the US dollar and reduce inflation, the Central Bank of Vietnam has raised the daily floating range of the Vietnamese dong against foreign currency to 2% three times since the end of 2007. At the same time, the central bank of Vietnam set a daily reference exchange rate. However, the situation of the Vietnamese dong has not improved.
