Renminbi is not common in India. It must be converted into freely convertible currencies, such as US dollars and British pounds, and then converted into Indian Rupee at local banks. However, after the Asian financial turmoil, the sustainability of RMB is obvious to all, and I believe it can be circulated in the future. Now it can only be exchanged in dollars and euros.
