According to the national regulations, China citizens are allowed to bring RMB 20,000 each time they enter or leave the country, and foreign currency cash is equivalent to US$ 5,000. If they exceed this limit, they must make a written declaration to the customs and go through the relevant formalities. According to the frequency of passengers entering and leaving the country, the customs shall examine and release them according to the corresponding standards.
At the time of declaration, passengers should take the initiative to show their valid entry and exit documents, fill in the customs declaration form, and submit all luggage and currency to the customs for verification. It should be noted that the customs only accepts paper-based written declarations, and statements made at any other time, place and in any way are not regarded as valid declarations. Oral statements are unacceptable. The conversion of foreign exchange rate shall be based on the market foreign exchange rate of that day.
