The institutional functions of China Chamber of Commerce for Import and Export of Medicines and Health Products

Based on the needs of its own tasks, the China Chamber of Commerce for Import and Export of Medicines and Health Products has established several branches and coordination groups according to different commodity categories, which are respectively responsible for the coordination, management and consulting services of related import and export commodities. The daily work of the Chamber of Commerce is presided over by the president, vice president and secretary-general. The permanent office is in Beijing, which consists of Chinese Medicine Department, Western Medicine Department, Legal Department, Exhibition Department, Information Department, Membership Department and Office, which are respectively responsible for handling specific matters of daily work.

1. Office

(1) Responsible for coordinating the internal affairs of the Chamber of Commerce;

(2) Responsible for formulating and organizing the implementation of the internal management system of the Chamber of Commerce;

(3) Responsible for the management and services of the chamber of commerce’s personnel, finance, administration, logistics, secretarial, archives and retired cadres

2. Legal Department

(2) Research industry policies, organize the preparation of industry and chamber of commerce business development plans, and organize the drafting of industry business analysis reports;

(3) Coordinate the chamber of commerce’s government information and domestic and foreign publicity work;

(9) Leading matters related to intellectual property protection;

3. Membership Department

(1) Research, formulate and organize the implementation of membership development plans;

(2) Responsible for overall membership development work and coordinate with various departments and offices Develop members;

(3) Plan membership service plans and organize their implementation;

(4) Responsible for membership maintenance, collection of membership fees, and annual review and replacement of the chamber’s legal person registration certificate and organization code certificate ;

4. Department of Traditional Chinese Medicine

(1) Responsible for the formulation and implementation of the import and export development strategy of traditional Chinese medicine and health care products;

(2) Responsible for the formulation and implementation of Chinese medicine and health care products Member development and maintenance of the industry, responsible for the organization and liaison work of the Traditional Chinese Medicine Expert Committee;

(3) Responsible for the coordination, guidance, standard formulation, training, consultation and services of the import and export of traditional Chinese medicine and health care products;

(5) Responsible for the pre-approval and sealing of Chinese medicine and health products entrusted by the government and the management and coordination of bidding products;

(6) Undertake the liaison, service and promotion work of the national pharmaceutical export base;

(7) Responsible for the guidance and services of domestic and overseas registration and certification of pharmaceutical and health products;

(8) Coordinate matters related to the import and export of endangered wild animal and plant products;

(9) Responsible for the early warning and investigation of technical trade barriers and trade frictions in traditional Chinese medicine and health products, and cooperate with the Legal Affairs Department to respond to complaints ;

(10) Organize member companies to explore domestic and foreign markets and carry out economic and technological exchanges and cooperation;

(11) Undertake other tasks assigned by the leaders of the meeting.

5. Western Medicine Department

(1) Responsible for the formulation and implementation of the import and export development strategy of the Western medicine industry;

(2) Responsible for members of the Western medicine import and export industry Development and maintenance, responsible for the organization and liaison work of the Western Medicine Expert Committee;

(3) Responsible for the coordination, guidance, standard formulation, training, consultation and services of the import and export of Western medicine commodities;

(4) Responsible for the management of the western medicine branch;

(5) Responsible for the early warning of foreign anti-dumping, countervailing, safeguard measures, antitrust and other trade frictions for western medicine commodities,

And cooperate with the General Legal Department to respond to lawsuits;

(6) Organize member companies to explore domestic and foreign markets and carry out economic and technological exchanges and cooperation

VI. Medical Devices Department

(1) Responsible for the formulation and implementation of the import and export development strategy for medical devices (including dressings, pharmaceutical machinery and packaging machinery);

(2) Responsible for the development and maintenance of members in the medical device industry, and responsible for the organization and liaison work of the Medical Device Expert Committee;

(3) Responsible for the coordination, guidance, and standards of medical device products Formulation, training, consulting and services;

(4) Responsible for the management of the medical device commodity branch;

(5) Responsible for foreign anti-dumping, countervailing and safeguard measures for medical device products , anti-monopoly and other trade frictions,

and cooperate with the Legal Affairs Department to respond to lawsuits;

(6) Organize member companies to explore domestic and foreign markets and carry out economic and technological exchanges and Cooperation

7. Information Department

(1) Centrally manage the business information of the Chamber of Commerce, collect and organize information on the pharmaceutical and health products industry and provide information consulting services;

(2) Responsible for the development of the pharmaceutical and health care product information market;

(3) Develop and maintain relevant databases for the medical insurance industry;

(4) Responsible for the reception, collation, maintenance, and Management, analysis and inquiry;

(5) Editing and publishing publications and materials such as "Medical Insurance Information", "Customs Data", "Information Excerpts";

(6) Responsible for the Chamber of Commerce Construction, maintenance, management and daily information services of information websites, Chinese and English trade websites;

(7) Responsible for the planning and implementation of office automation of the chamber of commerce, daily maintenance of equipment and technical guidance;

(8) Maintain and develop members;

(9) Undertake other tasks assigned by the leaders of the association.

8. Exhibition Department

(1) Formulate and implement the chamber of commerce exhibition development plan and annual plan;

(2) Organize enterprises to participate in domestic and foreign pharmaceutical and health products international conferences Professional exhibition;

(1) Responsible for compiling technical guides related to the international market of pharmaceutical and health products;

(3) Assisting domestic enterprises in promoting international certification, such as EU GMP certification, US cGMP certification, Australian TGA certification, etc.;
