First of all, if you want to have an EA, you must have an ex4 extension. If there is only one mq4 file, you must open it with MetaEditor, the editor that comes with MetaTrader. Only by compiling mq4 and avoiding errors can we get an ex4 file with the same name in the folder where mq4 was originally stored.

Copy this ex4 file to the experts folder under the folder where MetaTrader4 is located, for example: d: \ program files \ actcmetaTrader 4 \ Experts, and close and reopen metaTrader 4.

Right-click the EA you want to use under "Intelligent Trading System" under "Navigation". Take my 10 profit system as an example, and click "Attached Chart", as shown in Figure 4.

The following pop-up window will appear: Pay special attention to the selection here. If "Allow real-time automatic trading" is not checked, then your intelligent system will not trade automatically.

There is another place where "Start" must be selected: the last thing in the above picture is that the intelligent trading system has been started.

After all the above settings are completed, look at the upper right corner of your chart, and the file name of your intelligent trading system and a smiling face will definitely appear.

In this way, even the current chart has enabled the intelligent trading system.

If you want to stop your intelligent trading system, the best way is to click the "Intelligent Trading" icon in this picture.

If you just want to stop EA on the current diagram, press F7, and the following window will pop up: Click to remove the check mark in front of "Allow real-time automatic trading" and then confirm, thus stopping EA on the current diagram.
