Lean Production (LP) is a kind of praise for JIT(Just In Time) production mode of Toyota in Japan by experts from the International Automobile Planning Organization (IMVP) of Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Lean production originated from Toyota Motor Corporation in 1950s and was adopted by European and American enterprises in the mid-1980s.
