Passengers carrying foreign currency cash with the equivalent of more than US$ 5,000 to US$ 10000 (including US$ 10000) out of the country shall submit the Permit for Carrying Foreign Currency issued by the bank to the customs. Passengers leaving the country with foreign currency cash equivalent to more than US$ 654,380,000 should submit the Permit for Carrying Foreign Exchange issued by the State Administration of Foreign Exchange to the customs for inspection and release.
There is no limit on the amount of foreign currency cash that passengers can carry, but if they need to take it out of the country again, they should declare it to the customs in writing when they bring it in, and the customs will record the amount of foreign currency cash declared at the last entry when they leave the country.
