method of remittance
1. telegraphic transfer
Wire transfer is fast and can be directly remitted to the payee's account, but it is also the most expensive remittance method. The premise of using telegraphic transfer is that you must have a bank account in the UK. Generally, the payee's name, account number, address, name and address of the payee bank must be provided in English.
2. Airline remittance
The handling fee for remittance is cheaper than that for telegraphic transfer, and it is much safer for the buyer to leave the country by mail or with bills. After arriving in the UK, choose a suitable bank as soon as possible, open a student account, deposit the draft in the bank, and the bank will cash it directly or collect it. It is a good choice to pay tuition by draft. Compared with telegraphic transfer, remittance by draft is slower, but it can save a telecommunication fee. However, if the bill is not taken out of the country by myself and needs to be mailed, it will lead to mailing costs and risks.
3. International Debit Card
International debit cards have strong versatility and high security, which can avoid the trouble of carrying cash. When you swipe your card, you can directly deduct it from your deposit account and swipe as much money as you have. Nowadays, general international debit cards have the functions of main card and auxiliary card. International students only need to bring a supplementary card, and their parents can use the main card to handle deposit business at branches of domestic banks at any time, while international students only need to pay a small handling fee when withdrawing money from ATMs abroad. However, the international debit cards of general banks are mainly US dollar cards, and it is necessary to pay exchange fees to withdraw the currency of the current country from ATMs outside the US dollar zone.
4. International credit cards
Foreign credit cards are relatively mature, ranging from shopping malls to convenience stores. Therefore, it is also a good choice for international students to use international credit cards. At present, many domestic banks offer international credit card business with different credit lines. If money is deposited in the card, you can spend or withdraw money directly abroad. There is no handling fee for direct consumption with international cards, but a certain percentage of handling fee is required for overseas cash withdrawal.
